I'm thinking about making a suspension system to hold my quilt off the table as I quilt. I saw a garment rack that adjusts with shower rings and clamps suspended. Anyone try this? Hunting for something to take some pressure off my shoulders.

Evelyn, I just saw an interesting post on MSQC where a member shows her DH's system with pics...wish I had room for that system.  Don't know how he built and put it together, but pics look pretty cool.

Thanks, Sharon. I hadn't thought about looking there. I found an old post their too. It showed the weightless system from Nancy's Notion. Cost $400! Not everyone likes it. Some people used the stands and clips for dog groomers at $70 each. I don't want to invest that much to try it. I have a large table to put behind my machine.

You could try something like this, Evelyn.  May not be pretty but definitely cost effective.

Barb, that's a great link.  This is similar to one I saw from someone else, but not as complicated or sophisticated.  I like this one, simple, not expensive, and looks like it would work well.  Doesn't have to be pretty
