Catching up on Clue#4 for the last two days. Only a few more strings to sew. Hope to get some of #5 done before Friday. Wish me luck! |

Way to go Mimi. I have been doing a great job of saving the clues! Clue 6 is up!
Clue 6 was more string piecing! I am seriously considering changing up my colors because I want to make string blocks! Decisions, decisions.
Meanwhile, still using On Ringo Lake and Jewel Box as leader/enders. |

I have all of Clue 5 finished and some of Clue 6 stripped. Hoping to finish today so I can be in on the reveal. Of course I won't finish until next year b/c she usually does that on New Year's Eve or on New Year's Day. But I'm totally ready. I've even thought about a border to make it a little bigger if possible. |

Here's all my clues 1 - 6 ready for the next step. Looking at them it feels like there are still missing pieces. So we will see. The two blue pieces to the right are for an added border/binding if I want to make it double bed sized.

I don't do well with mysteries or scrappy but I have a little bin of batiks, autumn colors, from which I would like to make just a few blocks for a controlled look table topper or a couple of mats so I am saving the clues as they are revealed. I fondled the fabrics last night just waiting for the reveal so I can work in my confort zone. I'm still dealing with elements from the two 2017 mysteries I attempted and just couldn't make myself finish. |

I just finished clue 2 of On Ringo Lake!!!! And I have most of clue 3 cut out - still working on those 2" squares. I hope to work on it more later today. We don't do anything too exciting on NYE so I will work on this.
I have the fabric and I am printing out the clues for Good Fortune and work on it later. I'm not sure about the strings - I never did strings but I guess that is part of the learning experience with doing a Bonnie mystery!
Mimi your pieces look beautiful!

Tracy, I find strings are easy. But since my scraps are not cut to her scrap saving program specs, I spend more time cutting the strings than sewing them. Oh and Ringo Lake is still waiting patiently for me to work on. So you're ahead of me there. |

All done Clue 7. She really tricked us up with the clue on New Year's Day. Wonder how many more there will be? Here's mine for now. Off to make some progress on other things

Still working on putting the 4 patches together in to a 16 patch. Did not do the last clue but after ready BH clarification I may go back and do some strip piecing on the other clue that was string pieced I chose to use bricks that I had cut in the appropriate size. So looking forward to tomorrow.

The Reveal! What a beautiful quilt! Looking forward to seeing Mimi's and Christines! I will probably be changing my color choices as I really want to do string pieced parts!
Looking forward to seeing all the color combinations.

I too am working on the Bonnie Hunter Good Fortune MQ. I am on the "Reveal" step. I switched out the orange for gold as I didn't think I had enough oranges. I really went all scrappy, which makes for a lot more work I am realizing!
I will post a picture as soon as I have the top together, won't be until sometime next week though as I am flying my youngest daughter off to Regis University tomorrow and will return Monday. She is transferring back this semester, decided U of O was just too big for her...

Christine, your Good Fortune is lovely. Gosh, I can't believe it's finished already. Your color choices are wonderful. I've been following along on Bonnie's Blog and seeing some of the amazing finishes and some that are not finished yet. It's fun to see them in various colorways. |

Christine, that quilt makes me happy . Love the colors! Once you get it quilted and bound, don't forget to add it to the Quity Finishes page! |
