Hey hey, I have some small finishes for November!  These are all for the "Spirit of Christmas" bazaar at church next Saturday.  I worked on most of them during the IL retreat in October, and I put the finishes touches on them this past week - bindings, buttons, zipper pulls, etc.

A 16" x 42" table runner.

I did turn under the edges of the applique, but then to save time, I machine-stitched them using invisible thread.  A few hand-embroidered details.

Four zippered purses with bamboo accents.  A pencil case.

A Christmas candle wreath.

...and two large totes made from panels.

I had DH drill button holes in an oyster shell for the ocean-themed tote.

I agree with Sheila, those are fantastic Nancy!  I am sure your church anxiously awaits your treasures every year for the sale.

Nancy: Very nice work! You are very generous!

I have 2 small finishes: Kitty beds for our local shelter. I use 2 fat quarters to make a small pillow. I have no more scraps!

No more scraps, Marian? Does that mean your kitty beds are stuffed with shredded fabic scraps? You'll be making some kitties very happy!

Nancy - your gifts are wonderful. You are a very talented and versatile lady. Have a freat time at your church bazaar. I sure wish I could go, to snap up some of your goodies.

Marian - great use for scraps there. Good job.

Yes, I am depleted of shredded fabric scraps - but I have plenty of bigger scraps!

Of course I was squaring up some HST last night - and guess what - I have a new collection of shredded fabric scraps. But it felt good to get rid of the scraps and make a couple of little beds. I'll hand them into my Guild on Weds and be done with them.

Nancy, your Church bazaar projects are incredible. You keep coming up with new, cute ideas. I love your applique birds!

Teatime, that's wonderful. I make my cat a pillow every summer for the porch bench. Never thought to gift to our shelter.

I made the top for a glow in the dark quilt for my neighbor Caiden. I need to finish it for him. Taking two machine quilting classes this week at the Original Sewing Expo. Then I will tackle itsilly

Sounds like a lot of finishes happened at quilt retreat!  I love seeing everyone's work.

Nancy I love the idea of using panels to make the totes!

I don't see myself having any big finishes by the end of the year, but... that doesn't mean I won't try! :)

As long as I'm breathin', there's no bad days.~ Alabama
