A little delay on the quilting of Oriental. I didn't have enough of the backing fabric. Since I've been having it for a few years I couldn't find the same one so had to order a different one. That's what happens when you buy for one layout and size, then change your mind when you finally get to it. So it may not get quilted and bound before the end of this month.

Would someone p.l.e.a.s.e tell my maker to quit accepting lunch dates, running away with her Hubby, and playing with her granddaughters???? I am soooo tired of being on this frame,  I want done and off, so please won't you help me get the word out to my maker???

....quilting is half-way

Awesome chart Eli Thank you!

Eli is going to help keep up the chart for a bit. Life just never seems to slow down. I have my parents here visiting us. They live in Ireland so I haven't seen them for a year and a half and they are here till Oct 2nd. And then my son leaves for a 2 year mission on Oct 11th so I have to help round up everything he needs too.

But after Oct 11th, do I dare say that things should be more mellow  Well I hope they will be, at least until Christmas time and a sons wedding Jan 6th.

Teatime is correct on the chart. I'm going to put the motorcycle quilt on hold for now. Here is a picture of "On Point" Almost ready for the longarmer.

Jacy, good luck with that whole life getting more mellow bit!wink

As for my September projects, I have been working diligently on my daughter's boot quilt, but it's still no where near a finish.

I got the back pieced for my Irish chain, so hopefully I can get it sandwiched and done for October.

I had a 3rd project for the month I did not think I would get too, but went home to Oregon and finished it, cause my others are in Louisiana and on the frame.  November lotto Antique tiles is about 48% quilted.

I did finish this Shooting Stars patriotic quilt finally.  It was a very old UFO I bought the backing and started hand quilting and binding this year.  Finished Sunday the 17th.   100 x 100  donating to an auction in Mt.Angel Oregon happening in November.

Teatime and Verla, love the patterns and the colors. I am eagerly waiting for my quilt to be returned by my longarmer. Finished my two pin cushions for our exchange. Still stewing about my quilt that doesn't have enough binding fabric in the coordinating color.

Jacy, how fun to have your folks visiting. Enjoy!

All that is left on Peace, Love is to hand sew the binding down.  Hopefully I will have a finish tomorrow.

Thanks Eli

Irene, good luck with that, we were babysitting your lovely quilt for you while you were gone.

I keep thinking I will sew but I don't manage to enough. Still haven't finished the wall hanging. Leaving town for next week on a trip with DH to celebrate our 41st anniversary. Should be lovely to see the fall leaves as we go.

In case I forget to come back in here before the end of the month I did make some progress with my honey strips.

I'm picturing the small log cabins as little zipper pouches and maybe some tote bags with the larger blocks. I have plenty of strips left over so I can try a couple different things.

I got all the pieces of wool cut and ready to glue down for the last block of Laura's Garden. Lots of little petals. Hand stitching the dark path down now.

Florence, your top is beautiful! If it looks that good blurry, it must be XTRA nice in real life. Nicely done.

Robin, Nice blocks! I really like your fabrics. Were they in a "set" or did you choose each one.

I'm hoping to get all my blocks sewn together by the end of the month. I mean pieced. My Patriotic lap quilt will have to go back onto my list of WIP... I hope next month's number will be for one of my almost-done projects so I can get at least 1 WIP finished this year!

The center of Skyline Sensation is done. Still needs borders.  This is probably all I will  do on it for the month.

I don't know why I am putting off working on Let it Snow.  I did get a letter and a half sewn down yesterday.  It looks like DH is going to work on one of his projects so maybe it's the day for me to turn on a movie, get comfy in the recliner and sew.

As long as I'm breathin', there's no bad days.~ Alabama
